The short list to challenge Lance in two years

U.S. Rep.-elect Leonard Lance will be tough to beat in 2010 after besting Democrat Linda Stender by nine percentage points

Democrats don't think it will be easy to  unseat soon-to-be freshman Leonard Lance from the U.S. House of Representatives in 2010.  Lance scored a 51%-42% victory over Linda Stender, who had been running for three years and had huge financial support from national Democrats.  The district has been Republican since Florence Dwyer ousted Harrison Williams in 1956.

Possible candidates to challenge Lance in two years: State Sen. Joseph Vitale, the former Acting Mayor of Woodbridge and the Chairman of the Senate Health Committee; Assemblyman Joseph Cryan, the Democratic State Chairman; Edison Mayor Jun Choi; Union County Freeholder Alexander Mirabella; and Summit Mayor Jordan Glatt.

All of the names mentioned in the article would make good congresspersons, however, the dccc should just provide the resources and let the locals run stuff. It's pretty clear that carpetbaggers don't know nuttin'.

Lance

Good luck getting rid of Lance. He'll probably be there a while.

Joe Cryan? SHORT LIST?

You mean short beer don't you?

That Democrat thug represents everything wrong with politics in NJ and would be a laughing stock in the U.S House of Representatives.

Lance is in as long as he wants to be, the Dems couldn't take that seat in a landside, they will never take it now, even with Slick Willie in town.

Doubtful

I think Lance will be there for several terms.

Lance will hold the seat indefinitely

If the Dems were going to pick up District-7, 2008 was the year to do it.

Leonard Lance is articulate, thoughtful and moderate. I don't see him losing that seat.
