An important message from Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo, according to a press release issued today: due to inclement weather forecasts for Saturday, the Essex County Canine Halloween Costume Parade has been rescheduled to Saturday, November 1. 

The morning Essex County Canine Halloween Costume Parade will now be held at the South Mountain Dog Park in South Orange, and the afternoon Essex County Canine Halloween Costume Parade will now take place at the Brookdale Dog Park in Bloomfield.

This is one of those April Fools jokes right? In the middle of this economy we cannot be talking about a dog parade, right? In the county with the state's second highest property taxes. Wally's pulling our legs! OMG I bet there are 30 police officers doing traffic control too! at what cost to us taxpayers?
