Menendez and Obama have private sit down

U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama had a private meeting in Newark on Friday, just before Obama headed to Middletown for a fundraiser at Jon Bon Jovi's home.  Menendez and Obama bet to discuss GOTV strategies for New Jersey and other key Latino communities across the U.S.  New Jersey's Senator is also considered an influential national Latino leader, who has demonstrated abilities to motivate Latino voters in states like Florida, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado.

a question of character

If there is any indication that Obama is not qualified to be president, how about consulting and getting in bed this guy?!
Obama, Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, Gov. Corzine, Bob Menendez ... what a poker party (or Obama's Cabinet?) that would be.

Obama gets it and understands what Menendez brings to the table

An ability to get out the vote in New Jersey and in key Latino pockets across the country. Smart move on both sides.

obama needs hispanics/menendez

Obama has done nothing to reach out to the greater hispanic community who overwhelmingly supported hillary. Obama can't afford to snub menendez as he did at the convention. big mistake. obama hasn't committed to an immigration reform policy which could lead this ever increasing block McCain's way. (remember McCain-Kennedy Earned legalization bill)

Obama's big mistake again.

Here we go again! Obama has no clue what is going in New Jersey. Otherwise, he would not play with the bosses and highly unpopular Governor. Sen. Menendez does belong in the first category of unpopular and tainted politicians in NJ. These mistakes will cost Obama the Hillary land, which was NJ. McCain will surprise many here in November. The simple reason is that people see that the real change ticket is not Obama/Biden, but McCain/Palin.
