BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- State Sen. Sean Kean said he hasn’t thought about being tapped for Lieutenant Governor, but he’d be interested in the prospect if it arose.
“I would certainly entertain it. I haven’t thought too much about it, but it would be interesting,” he said.
Kean (R-Wall Township), a freshman state Senator, said that he’s “advocating and urging” U.S. Attorney Chris Christie to run for governor next year.
“He hasn’t talked to me about it, he hasn’t asked me,” said Kean.
When asked who Gov. Corzine should pick as his running mate, Kean said he should choose someone who’s ideologically moderate.
“I think Corzine is going into this election a little bit wounded, and I think whoever he would pick would be someone who would try to increase his hopes and chances, because right now he’s vulnerable,” he said. “Whoever he chooses, it would make sense if it was somebody to the center of the party rather than the left. In places like Monmouth County, he’s not popular at all.”

Kean must want Corzine to win.
Why else would he advocate a Chris Christie candidacy? Does anyone think an ethics obsessed candidate who shares Corzine's support for higher state taxes, more state debt, unrestricted abortion, illegal immigration and gun control is ever going to beat the Bearded One?
He's beaten two of those candidates in the past. Why would anyone think a Franks-Forrester type would win in 2009?
