Andrews campaign denies complicity in Cresitello petition challenge

Rob Andrews’s Senate campaign today denied that they had anything to do with a court challenge to long-shot primary opponent Donald Cresitello’s petitions.

Although one of the lawyers who showed up a the Morris County Board of Elections to challenge the petitions, Jean Lidon, had told the Star-Ledger that she was there to represent Andrews, her partner John Kwasnik quickly corrected her and said that they had nothing to do with Andrews’s campaign.

Lautenberg’s campaign issued a press release casting doubt on Andrews’s assertion that he had nothing to do with it.

"This is remarkable hypocrisy on the part of Congressman Andrews. He claims to want to give voters a choice in this election, yet here he is exposed trying to knock  other democrats off the ballot. The Rob Andrews deception continues," said Lautenberg spokeswoman Julie Roginsky.

The Negative Comments

The comments from FL and his spokeswoman clearly show that FL is leading a campaign based on negative attacks. Why can't FL talk about the issues that matter most to NJ citizens instead of going into the Republican campaign handbook written by Mr. Rove and Mr. Dowd?

Andrews caught red-handed

The lawyer said she was hired by Andrews until her partner told her to shut up. Turns out Mr. "Voters Deserve a Choice" didnt want Cristiello to be on the ballot. Not a good week for Mr. Andrews.

Andrews' ship sinking before it ever set sail?

Another mistake for Andrews. He needs to run a perfect campaign to win. You just can't continue to say one thing and do another. The prospect of a close race is fading fast. People underestimated Lautenberg, he's a fighter and he seems sharper than Andrews.
