Giuliani coming to district 12
By Matt Friedman, PolitickerNJ.com ReporterIn the ultra-competitive district 12 legislative race, the Republicans are breaking out the big guns.
Rudy Giuliani is scheduled to make an appearance on behalf of Republican legislative candidates Jennifer Beck, Declan O’Scanlon and Caroline Casagrande, according to campaign spokesman Tom Fitzsimmons.
The appearance is scheduled for a Thursday rally at The Excelsior in Manalapan at 3:30 p.m.
“Rudy Giuliani could very well be the next President of the United States. He’s exceedingly popular in New Jersey, especially with people who have moved from New York to New Jersey,” said Fitzsimmons. “I think it speaks volumes that he’s taking time out of his busy schedule to come and speak on behalf of Jennifer, Declan and Caroline.”
Mike Premo, campaign manager for Beck’s opponent, state Sen. Ellen Karcher, didn’t think the visit would have an impact on the race.
“If endorsements mattered, Doug Forrester would be governor now.”

Could be the worst of the campaign season. I don't even know what he's trying to say...that most of the media or politicos endorsed Forrester over Corzine? Bigger names supported the Republican over the Democrat? That anyone coming to visit for Karcher is equally meaningless? You'd think they'd be better prepared with a message than that.
