Congressman Michael Ferguson will serve on Anne Estabrook's U.S. Senate exploratory committee, according to sources familiar with the businesswoman's campaign. This puts a pro-life conserative at the forefront of the moderate Estabrook's bid to take on incumbent Frank Lautenberg.
The Ferguson and Estabrook families have been close for many years (the future Congressman and Estabrook's son were childhood friends), and Estabrook has contributed more than $15,000 to Ferguson's campaigns for Congress.

Time for a primary
This jerk needs to be put out to pasture, preferably in a primary so we don't lose the seat in 2008.
Daddy's Dollars?
Estabrook should have lined up Fergie's father, he's the real money machine.
Tom Kean Jr.
If Tom Kean Jr. challenges him in a primary again, he will win this time.
If Kean wants to be ready for primetime in his future endeavors, this is the way you do it. I hope he goes for it.
Ferguson is becoming a liability and Kean would beat Stender or any other Democrat thrown in his direction easily and remain in that seat for as long as he wants.
If the NJGOP is wise, (and that's a big if) they will get behind Kean on this one.

NOT MUCH OF A SURPRISE HERE...
If you take a look at this web site: http://www.jamestownassociates.com/ you will see a picture of Ferguson with some other candidates under a caption that says "Winning the tough campaigns/The record to prove it". Larry Weitzner works for Jamestown Associates so this endorsement shouldn't be much of a surprise. If the national lib groups spent any money on Ferguson's race this would be an endorsement from former Congressman Ferguson.
FERGUSON IS RINO
He proved it 2 weeks ago when a giddy Mike Ferguson was quoted in the NY Times as being happy the Democrats gained the majority so he could now vote for bills that wouldn't have gotten to the floor under GOP leadership.
hmm...
and yet he still voted no for any of pelosi's Iraq pullout bills.
Yeah, that pro Bush thing doesn't work well in this state.
God Forbid a republican doesn't stick to every single party rhetoric!! How dare he!
DO you know Mike Ferguson's district? He nearly lost and I'm sure if he was giving the rhetoric that some of the guys in Texas did Linda Stender would be our congresswoman and be buddying up with Pelosi. Would you rather have her?
There's a reason why GW was nowhere to be seen in New Jersey during the 06 campaigns, hell even Chris Smith basically ran a campaign based on his positive reputation and stayed away from the general feeling of the GOP.
Where is that quote? Link that story here..I'd like to see the context.
On the other hand...Tom Kean Jr would win a primary but I don't see him opposing Ferguson unless Ferguson bowed out, also not sure if Tom Kean would go for Congress.
In one of the news stories...
I read that Estabrook gave money to Linda Stender and Bob Menendez! Given the fact that Stender ran against Ferguson, why is Estabrook considered a big "friend" of Ferguson? I know if a candidate gave money to my opponent, I wouldn't be supporting them in a race.
